new habit...

I've started to pick up a new habit recently....i started to search for ppl's blog to read...
Even though some of it is nothing great...basically they just blog something about their daily life (actually me also the same la :P)...but STILL....i found it interesting and worth reading...even though some of the bloggers are totally stranger to me...

I read about a 28yrs old lady from Canada. She was engaged at 26 and spent 1 year planning her wedding but got dump by her bf b4 tying the knot, she lost her 'together owned' home with the b4 and gotto move out the next day after the break up...poor thing rite? not even that...she also get laid off by her company due to the poor economy and coming recession.

So...wats wrong with her life? is there anything worse than this? No..in fact the best came about...at least i would think so...because she is flying to Europe on a one way ticket..and gonna spend at least minimum 3 months exploring european countries! If she manage to get a job...she will settle down there and then...I would say this is the 'turning point' of her life...she's going to face a totally new life....new beginning...all by herself! I am impressed by her braveness and guts....seriously...

I also wish i can buy a 1 way ticket and go somewhere far....the further the better....just try my luck and see what i can get....rather than stuck here....everyday go to work and off from work...the more i stay in this big city...the more i feel i dont belongs to where i am now....i wan to see the world b4 its gone....i wan to travel more....and after i feel enough....i wan to go back to nature...i wan to live in an island....selling ice cream or catching fishes....i wan a simple life and care free life....

Can i?? Is this realistic?

Jay Chow....the poor thing

Hahaha..you will get the hang of it if u can read the 'new version' of lyrics on screen :P

My first F1 GrandStand experience...

This is the 2nd time i am watching F1 live...but the 1st time for me to be at the GrandStand mall area!! I still remember last year where i've made a wish...how good if i could watch a race at GrandStand area...but when think of the price of the ticket...it really throw a wrench on my thought...dare not think further. So how come this year so good leh? whether am i suddenly become rich?? Of coz no la...with my lining up diving plans and travel plans...really cannot fork out money la....

Actually 4 of us bought the 2nd cheapest tickets...which is the C2 covered hill stand tickets to watch geh....just 3 days b4 the race and while i am still at Sipadan, my good fren (bibi) told me she managed to get 2 grandstand tickets...1 for me and 1 for housemate...aih...that also give me headache as in whether should i just dump the 3 of them burning under the sun during race day and i comfortably sitting at the mall area? or should i be 'yi hei' enough either all go or no one go??Headache!!

So before i can crack out a solution...my fren sms me again she manage to get total 7 tickets! amazing! so 4 of us all upgrade from covered hill stand to grandstand....and my parents also get the chance to come along. Hahaha...actually there are total 8 of us...but we only got 7 tickets...so we need to play some trick in order to make sure all 8 to go in...and we've succeed!! Bravo!!

The whole family got in....yeah!

The Grandstand experience...
Totally different! We get to see the cars at starting grid, get to taste the maximum straigh line speed of 22 F1 cars! The noise is much intense than hillstand...u can feel that ur seat and the place u're standing is shaking...as it earthquake coming...hahaha

The highlights of coz is get to watch the pricelsee pit stop during race! thats where race can go wrong for drivers! our seat is sitting right in front of Renault and Williams team...and diagonally we can see Mclaren & Ferrari pit....not bad also la... :P

The Ferrari pit garage

Heat over here is not as great as hillstand of coz....got shade ma....view is not as extensive as hillstand though...coz over there u can get a panoramic view of it...

The race...

Starting grid

Williams pit crew in action!

Quite a boring race i would say as there is little accident or incident throughout the race as compared to the last race at Melbourne. The most exciting and thriling part for me would be when Kimi was coming out from his 1st pit stop and manage to stay in front of Massa after the pit...2 cars were just almost side by side! chi kek!

The race results....
As what i've hoped so much...Kimi is the winner! followed by Kubica (BMW) 2nd and Kovalanien (Mclaren) 3rd. I am not a Ferrari fan but a Kimi fan....so i didnt feel any sorry for Massa...hahaha

Kimi...my all time hero...muakzzz....love ya!

I am a person who loves to travel to the maximum and I can spend all my available moneis and even advance just to travel and do my favorite hobbies. Anywhere I also feel like going…and of coz cannot exclude below highly voted (>100 millions votes) GREAT places of the world….they are simply WONDERS and you should see it at least ONCE before you are gone from this world or before end of the world come perhaps….

The New7Wonders

1. Great Wall of China
The 4,160-mile barricade running from east to west is the world's longest man-made structure. The construction of the wall took place over hundreds of years, beginning in the seventh century B.C.
--> Been there 2005 i think...but couldnt locate my pic!

2. Petra, Jordan
This ancient city in southwestern Jordan, built on a terrace around Wadi Musa, or Valley of Moses, was the capital of the Arab kingdom of the Nabateans. The city is famous for water tunnels and stone structures carved in the rock.

3. Christ Redeemer Statue, Brazil
The outstretched arms of the 125-foot statue of the Christ the Redeemer overlook Rio de Janeiro from atop 2,343-foot Mount Corcovado.

4. Machu Picchu, Peru
Built by the Incan Empire in the 15th century, Machu Picchu's walls, palaces, temples and dwellings are perched in the clouds at 8,000 feet above sea level in the Andes.

5. Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Mexico
This pyramid was part of a sacred site in an important Mayan center on Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. Built according to the solar calendar, shadows at the fall and spring equinoxes are said to look like a snake crawling down the steps, similar to the carved serpent at the top.

6. Colosseum, Italy
The 50,000-seat amphitheater in Rome was inaugurated in A.D. 80 and served as the backdrop for thousands of gladiators who dueled to the death.

Yay...I've landed my foot at the Colesseum, Apr2007

7. Taj Mahal, India
The white marble-domed mausoleum in Agra combines Indian, Persian and Islamic styles and was built by a 17th century Mogul emperor for his favorite wife, who died in childbirth.

Earth Hour 2008 - see the difference you can make 8pm March 29

Earth Hour 2007 was a Sydney event. Earth Hour 2008 is a global movement.

Created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.

About Earth Hour On March 31 2007, for one hour, Sydney made a powerful statement about the greatest contributor to global warming – coal-fired electricity – by turning off its lights. Over 2.2 million Sydney residents and over 2,100 businesses switched off, leading to a 10.2% energy reduction across the city. What began as one city taking a stand against global warming caught the attention of the world.

In 2008, 24 global cities will participate in Earth Hour at 8pm on March 29. Earth Hour is the highlight of a major campaign to encourage businesses, communities and individuals to take the simple steps needed to cut their emissions on an ongoing basis. It is about simple changes that will collectively make a difference – from businesses turning off their lights when their offices are empty, to households turning off appliances rather than leaving them on standby.

For more info, please check http://www.earthhour.org/

Would you do that? I am thinking of doing so if i am home alone at that time....

KLIM 2008

For the first time ever...i'm going to participate in a marathon event. And being realistic...i've opted the 10km fun run only.

I was supposed to go traning...at least do more exercise to train up my stamina...but somehow still havent initiate any as at today...and the marathon is going to take place coming Sunday...which is just 4 days away from now! So....i think just forget about it la...my gut feel is telling me that 10km is still a 'walkable' distance....

I am not a person who enjoy running...but just want to give it a try...at least i can get the hang of it for ONCE....hehe...life is short....so....LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST! --> thats my ultimate goal though~~~~

Diving @ Sipadan

The journey…
Woke up as early as 3.50am on 18/3/2008! of coz sleepy…plus too excited and cannot really catch a good sleep the night earlier. Our flight to Tawau took 2hours n 45mins…that was quite long though…and stupid me to pick the emergency exit seat…while totally cannot recline my seat…arghh…torture for the 2 hours plus…after reaching Tawau airport, we took 1 hour+ van journey b4 reaching Semporna jetty…following that was another 45mins speed boat ride and finally we reached Seaventures…the oil rig! Not easy rite?

Haven't fully wake up ar...still blur blur

The oil rig…
Hrm…how should I describe Seaventures? Ambience is OK except for not getting to walk about on the sandy beach during SI…
Food was reasonably OK except for lacking of choices and variety...
Room is just marginally OK except for the toilet which is a bit 'not pleasant'…water there also not totally fresh…its like half salted....

The diving experience & marine life…
Overwhelming is the word to describe!
A lot of those fishes and macros which i've never seen b4. Imagine u r surrounded by schools of fishes...swimming around u freely. Somehow i would say that u dont need to swim around...just stationary there and the fishes will swim by in front of u...amazing!
Fish are generally bigger size over here....quantity is generally higger...
Superb healthy corals! words cant describe....just imagine u r swimming in an aquarium!
Vis is just OK to me...but others said its good...maybe my expectation is superbly high?

Boat journey...
Distance boat ride to Sipadan Island, it took about 30mins. Imagine the strong wind hitting your wet body on ur way back for 30mins? u can really see many 'shaky divers'. Hence, whoever going please remember to bring ur dry towel or dry cloths to change if u dun wan to catch cold.

Sick divers...
Few divers falled sick...not sure whether too excited diving or because of the cold weather. Its been raining for the 1st 2 days....even our MSDT instructor also not in tip top condition for diving...haha

Flight delayed...flight delayed!!
of coz i would blame Air Asia for this...our return flight was delayed for almost 4 hours! being stranded at the airport for 6 hours! Not the mention the miserable 'compensation meal' provided by Air Asia...By the time reached LCCT...its already past mid night and taxi fare almost doubled! super rugi!

Conclusion...must try to go at least once a year...thats my goal! Next round gonna save more money so that can stay at Sipadan Water Village...awesone! :P

The fruit is back..

I am back!

Backed from 5D4N diving from Sipadan. Awesome experience. Gonna share the details in later blog.

Backed from F1. Awesome experience also!! coz for the first time ever i am watching the race at GrandStand area...get to see the real action of the pit crew and experience the top straight line speed of F1 cars...

GREAT!

langsung tak faham!

All this while i've been leaving office 'punctually'....its good that so far havent get 'complaint' or hint hint from my boss....

So...today he asked me to stay back....dun go back so early....guess what's the reason behind it??

He wants me to 'witness' how he give speech and give out the Performance Bonus Letter to all his staffs....this is what he said:-

"Apple, later please dun go back first....although u are not getting any letter, but please stay and take a look at how ppl react and take a look of their facial expression"

In my mind -- huh?? what is there got to do with me? why should i stay back to see this? not that i am getting any share of it....

Haih....already feel sad that seeing ppl gonna get so much $$$ in their account..but look at mine?? sigh...

sometimes i really dunno how to appreciate how my boss think....really tak faham!
Or perhaps he wants me to listen to the message from management in conjunction with the bonus payout?? anyway....i still tak faham! langsung tak faham!

What a WILD heart!

I am having an extremely ‘wild heart’ at the moment. Kanto saying is ‘sum yeh’. Meaning to say I have 101 things in my mind/heart now. I feel like wanna do this and that. The earlier haven’t even done I’ve been thinking for the next or even next next next!

I guess it would be good if this passionate or ‘kan cheong’ attitude is being applied in my job. Unfortunately it’s a definite NO answer! What I have in my simple and yet ‘ambitious’ mind is just traveling, holidays, scuba diving…that’s it! Nothing more than that!

Well…let me elaborate further how crazy I am…

I am going diving next week.
I am going backpacking in Europe for 2 weeks coming end Apr
I am planning to go LOB at Tioman in June
I am going to diving @ Redang in July (confirmed)
I am tempted to go Perhentian and take Enrich SP in August
I have verbally said yes my diving kaki for a LOB trip in Phuket around Raya time…
That’s not all….when I happen to browse my calendar…
I am ‘thinking’ if I can plan a short trip to Singapore to visit my cousin…
I am ‘thinking’ if I can go either China or HK for 1 week during Christmas as only need to take 3 AL then u can have 9 days off…

Wow…..now only I realized how crazy I am….it would be DAMN GOOD if I can have such extensive and ambitious plan for my marketing campaigns….guess wat?? I am writing this in office!!!

Hiazz….u think is there a way to cure me?? I guess I’ve went crazy…and getting more serious and serious..….

God….rain me with more $$$$ pleaseeeeeee………

Best of luck...Kimi

Time flies...the 2008 F1 season is starting coming weekend at Melbourne on 15th & 16th March.

2007 F1 season considered the most thrilling, exciting, eventful & dramatic season ever...and guess who is the champion of the champion?? Hehe...of coz is my all time F1 idol Kimi Raikkonen a.k.a the Iceman la~~~

So...this year....i wanna wish Kimi to have a little bit of good luck with him...he just need some luck to ensure his car wont turn him down...no question asked for his superb driving skill.

Kimi - good luck and all the best!
